What is Lark?
Lark is the next-generation collaboration suite that enables teams to do their best work together. The suite primarily consists of Lark Messenger, Lark Docs, Lark Calendar, Lark Video Conferencing, as well as Lark Workplace which integrates third-party applications. All functionalities are deeply integrated into a single app and can talk to each other.
Who can download Lark?
You can download it in the following ways:
For Windows and Mac version: please download it from here.
For Android and iOS version: please search Lark in the app store and download it.
What is the difference between the Free and Enterprise version?
Free and Enterprise versions offer the same features except for storage capacity and support. Free version storage is only up to 200GB, whilst Enterprise version provides unlimited storage capacity. On top of that, priority support 24/7 is available for Enterprise version users, but Free version users can only reach the support team during Monday - Friday from 10:00 - 19:00. Read more here.
How to join a team?
Ask the team Admin to invite you in any of the following ways: by inviting your phone number, by sharing the Team Code / Invite QR Code / Invite Link with you.
Download the Lark app and enter the Team Code or scan the QR code during sign-up.
Or, just open the Invite Link or QR code in any browser (You can use any QR code reader). Verify your contact info on the web page, and then download and log in to Lark.
You can still join a team using the Invite Link or QR code.
Once you've verified your contact info on the web page, you can go back to your Lark, and:
On mobile, click your profile photo to reveal the navigation bar.
To log out, Click your Profile Photo - Settings - Accounts & Devices - Log out
How can I activate my account when using Lark for the first time?
If your account has already been added to the company in Admin, you can log in directly. If you are notified that your account is not bound to any organization, the company administrator must first add you as a user in Admin - Contacts - User and Department.
What is the difference between Docs and Word, and what features are supported?
Docs not only contains the common features of Word but also offers a platform for collaboration. You can share files in Docs with colleagues, edit online with multiple users at the same time, and insert forms, polls, videos and other content. Docs is more powerful and convenient than ordinary documentation tool.
How can I add users outside my team as contacts?
Note: The person to be added needs to enable Allow people to add me by chat or QR code & profile link in Settings - Privacy, otherwise they cannot receive your invitation.
